A young, single Filipino guy seeks to get a visa to the US. If only he could get a visa, he could live the life of his dreams. The movie is in Tagalog with English subtitles. I thought it would be an interesting show because of my job, but the actual visa interviews make up only about 1% of the movie. The rest focuses on his struggle to find a visa.
Since I'm sure you will never watch it, I will tell you what happens. He is a driver and one of the folks he drives around is a TV show producer looking for a good story. They find someone willing to be crucified on holy week for their show (a Filipino oddity during holy week - no, they don't die on the cross). Unfortunately, the guy skips town after receiving his upfront payment (big surprise). So the kid volunteers to do this painful procedure to secure his visa.
But even though he finally gets a visa, he realizes that all he needs to be happy is right here in the Philippines: his girl, his illegitimate son that he didn't know about, and his dad. It's kind of a weird movie, and I barely made it through. Probably not recommended unless it really sounds awesome to you.
