4 stars out of 5I had never head of this movie but Netflix recommended, and Netflix is usually right. This is a combination comedy/sports/romance movie, but the romance is pretty light. In an attempt to win back the girl he left at the altar, Dennis decides to change his life around. Step one is to be just as good as his girl's current boyfriend, and that guy is a marathon runner. So he decides to enter. It even has a decent training sequence, even though it is more mocking of the sports genre than fulfilling of it. Anyway, a lot of crude humor, but otherwise a very pleasant film that I really enjoyed.
