The premise was good I thought - act out the New Testament as told by the Gospel of John. I thought the execution was terrible though. First of all, if you have ever watched the TV show Lost, you have to mentally adjust to have "Desmond" being Jesus. This is a big mental leap. Second, this is practically word for word from the bible. This makes it very predictable and kind of jumpy. I understand that you don't want to put more words in Jesus's mouth, but boy is it dull if you have read John before. Third, the movie portrays Jesus as very angry. He practically yells everything from John. I understand he was upset or frustrated at some points, but all the time? C'mon!
Would not recommend. Sheralie did like it though, so who knows?
